You can ride from our location
directly to the trails...or you can trailer the ATVs to another location...the choice is yours. Open May through
October. (Rentals only by appointment in early May, late Sept, & Oct. Office is open full time from Memorial
Day weekend, June, July, August, through Labor Day weekend.)
Open Monday through Saturday...Closed Sunday
ATVs can be rented Saturday for Sunday use. Hours: 8:30 AM to 6:00 pm.
Note:
All drivers must be age 16 with a driver's license as you will be riding on public roads to access the ATV trails.
This is state law and Forest Service regulations. Note: All renters are responsible for any
damage to the ATV or to themselves. We are not responsible in any way. You may purchase an accident insurance
policy for $25 per ATV which is $500 deductible and ONLY covers damage to the ATV (not to riders). You would pay $500
if the ATV is damaged, we would cover the balance of the damage, which has been significant at times (one wreck in 2009 totaled
the ATV and cost the operator's dad $6,700. Fortunately the young man was not injured). If you do not purchase
the $25 insurance then all damages are your responsibility. The typical tip-over or rear-ender on an ATV costs $800
because it damages the front fender, rear fender, front rack, rear rack, and handlebar. Our family and workers have
ridden them for literally thousands of miles without ever tipping one over, so it is not difficult to keep them upright.
Simply drive safely, don't hot-rod, and BE CAREFUL!
Where to Ride: You will ride
your ATVs directly from our place of business to the National Forest roads and trails. We are located at Alpine (just
north of the junction of Hwy 89/26) an easy 35 mile drive from Jackson Hole down the scenic Snake River Canyon. It is
an easy ATV ride through the small town of Alpine to get to Greys River Road. Of course you can rent our ATV trailer,
if you wish, and go someplace else; your choice. We offer all day rentals (9-5) for $110 and half day rentals for $80.
Half day rental times are 9-1 and 1:30 to 5:30 (4 hours). A late afternoon/evening ride may be available from about
4pm to dark. $80. If you keep the ATV overnight there is an extra charge of $25, unless you are renting for multiple
days. There is no extra charge for overnight on multiple-day rentals. You can see a lot of country and have a
great time on either the all day or half day rides. If you are adventuresome we recommend the all day ride because you
can go several different directions and take your time without having to go-go-go. The best way to see where we ride
is to go to Google Earth, download it, and do a "fly to" Alpine, Wyoming. At Alpine the Snake River comes
in from the east (from Jackson) and the Greys River comes in from the southeast. In the middle of Alpine you will see
the intersection where Greys River Road heads southeast. Go up Greys River road (dirt road) and you can see how far
you can go. The side ATV trails open July 1, specifically the Squaw Creek Trail is the best one for ATVs (intermediate
trail, not recommended for beginners). Squaw Creek is the road turning right about 4 miles up river from Alpine and
then immediately crossing the river bridge (don't confuse it with the main Greys River Road crossing the river bridge
about 2 miles up from Alpine). In May-June and Sept-Oct we will send you up Murphy Creek and Porcupine Creek roads which
are seldom traveled in early summer and late fall. You will note the Greys River parallels the road. Really scenic!
Eight miles up Greys River from Alpine the main Greys River makes a bend to the right (south) and the Little Greys River comes
in from the left (north). Little Greys is another good ATV road (but more dusty), but go on up the main Greys River
Road another 7 miles to Murphy Creek Road (a half mile past Murphy Creek Forest Service Campground). Turn right on Murphy
Creek Road and it goes 7 miles up into some spectacular snow-capped peaks. When you come back out of Murphy Creek Road
and return to the Greys River Road, if you turn right, going upstream, you will go 3.5 miles to Porcupine Creek Road turning
left. It goes about 5 miles to the end. There are also a lot of trails to explore up the Little Greys River.
Also, there are small side roads/trails such as Higby Canyon. So, as you can see, plenty of places to explore and have
fun!
